“Let the beauty of what you love be what you do.”
Rumi
Robert H. Treman, a graduate of Cornell University as well as a trustee, purchased land in the Enfield Falls area to protect the natural environment and improved the property by planting over 1,000 trees. By 1920, Robert and his wife, Laura, donated 1,110 acres of land to New York State to be called Enfield Glen Reservation. It was renamed Robert H. Treman State Park in memory of Treman’s altruistic and environmentally conservative leadership. It is through these awakened conscious philanthropic contributions that the beauty and wonder of the Finger Lakes Region has been preserved.

In such a challenging era during the 1930’s -1940’s the Civilian Conservation Corps provided opportunities to create such wonder for future generations. Their contributions of hard work created timeless wonders preserved for future generations. It is now our turn to act. Our environment is crying out to be honored and respected, taken care of and nurtured back to pristine purity. To be cleansed of toxins and allowed to breath clean, fresh air. To have tees allowed to live through their life span, how many years that may be. To demand alternative sources of clean energy by using the tides, the sun, the wind and allowing for our lands to be restored. To dredge out and clean up our waterways honoring water as it is our sacred liquid, without it, we will perish. To work together with our wildlife and creating ways that we can co-exist and share this wondrous Gaia that has been given to us as a Gift.
Daniel 3:57-82 (excerpts)
“Bless the Lord, all you works of the Lord, Praise and exalt him above all forever. Angles of the Lord, Bless the Lord; You heavens, Bless the Lord; All you waters above the heavens, Bless the Lord; All you hosts of the Lord, Bless the Lord; Sun and Moon, Bless the Lord; Stars and Heaven, Bless the Lord; Every shower and dew, Bless the Lord; All you winds, Bless the Lord; Fire and heat, Bless the Lord; Cold and chill, Bless the Lord; Dew and rain, Bless the Lord; Frost and chill, bless the Lord; Ice and snow, bless the Lord; Nights and days, Bless the Lord; Light and darkness, Bless the Lord; Lightning and clouds, Bless the Lord; Let the earth bless the Lord; Mountains and hills, Bless the Lord; Everything growing from the earth, Bless the Lord; You springs, Bless the Lord; Seas and rivers, Bless the Lord; You dolphins and all water creatures, Bless the Lord; All you birds of the air, Bless the Lord; All you beasts, wild and tame, Bless the Lord; You sons and daughters of men and women, Bless the Lord.”

Dear Lori,
Thanks for sharing the very nice photos including your words and thoughts. One quote was from Rumi, Maulana Rumi – which also my Master mentioned many times as he, as Sufi, came in touch with the inner Sound and Light and his Master was Shams-e Tabrizi. Rumi wrote wonderful poems. We can see that this Sound – and Light-principle can be found in all religions: they have different names for it – and even in Buddhism it is found too. My Master wrote a book about it: “Naam or Word” -so the Word, which we can read in the Bible: “At the beginning there was the Word and the Word was with God…” This Word (not just a word as wrongly interpreted) is Naam – is the Light and Sound-principle.
Thanks, dear Lori
Have a great day
Didi
Hi Didi and thank you for sharing the teachings of inner Sound and Light that come from our inner Peace, Love and Joy! So as we do the inner workings, our outer world is transformed. It is a great mystery of Truth, found within the depths of our very essence of being. Few choose to venture there, so we must be vigilant in our efforts in order for transformation to occur. Peace, Lori
Thanks, dear Lori,
Yes it comes from the love which is inside us (not the mind) and which is from the same essence as that in God. Through light and sound the whole creation came into being and is penetrating even atoms, electrons, quarks and hicks – which is manifested in each life form even in those which have a low frequency, like matter. So light and sound goes along with consciousness, love and life. We all are able to see the inner light (not astral) and sound when rising above the body-consciousness with the help and grace of God. To achive this goal we must become innocent children with a pure heart.
Thanks, dear Lori – always nice to have to exchange words and thoughts with you 🙂
In harmony
Didi
Many thanks for sharing your inner knowing, Didi! It is that all-encompassing love which permeates us, surrounds us and empowers us that I experienced on my near death journey. And yes, there is s biblical reference which states that ” God sees not as man sees; for man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart.” 1Samuel 16:7. Here is to what Chert Dog says in “My Father’s Greatest Gift: Life Lessons from a Black English Labrador Retriever” – ‘…Doghead is pretty easy to learn, you just have to speak from your heart’ Have a Blessed day, Didi! Lori
Thanks, dear Lori 🙂
All good wishes and a sunny day, inside and outside 🙂
Didi
correction of a mistake:

“Let the beauty of what you love be what you do.” It is such a big truth! Wonderful post and wonderful pictures! Thank you for sharing them! Blessings, Manuela
Many thanks, dear Manuela! This is my dad’s home town area, which displays God’s beauty and wonder, and the dedication of many to preserve the gorgeous wonder of this region! Blessings, Lori
A timeless and beautiful place. I agree we need to keep our natural resources free from toxins and waste.
a true treasure to be sure! Thank you being a guardian of Nature Lori!
How can you not when it calls to the depths of your soul, bringing you home?! It is a testimony to the truest sense of “gorges” (gorgeous) Ithaca’s tagline!
I like the layering.Looks like mudstone? Not much uplift in that area. All the bedding looks undisturbed.
Shale and Sandstone, pretty delicate in areas. Beautiful Year round, but during the winter months certain trails are closed.
yes, from the jacking the water does I suppose.
Wow… thank you for sharing!
My Father was from the Ithaca, NY area where these photos were taken, it is a timeless place, full of fire energies vital for our grounding deeply into Gaia in these monumental times of Ascension. Thank you for sharing your passion, we are bring called to stand up energetically now, that’s why as old souls we are here now. Thanks for shining your light!
Lori, aww, love you!! I have a close friend who lives outside Ithaca. Wow. 🙂
Dad was from Myers, near Myers Point and Salmon Creek in his back yard. It is truly where my heart originated from!
I love this!
I know how difficult waterfals are to photograph, and these are wonderful.
I have grown up photographing waterfalls as the Ithaca area is my Father’s home (aka Gorges/Gorgeous tagline) Spectacular and magical place to be and visit, very therapeutic and restorative and clean, fresh, invigorating air. Thanks for the comment! Look under my art tab for a quilted painting of Taughannock Falls. Lori
It’s really nice photos dr. Thanks for sharing
Thank you, I enjoyed my walk around the lake! Sun was behind the cloud cover, so captured the colors as if God was painting colors on the leaves.
Exactly a masterpiece. Wow!
Yes, the Finger Lake Region of upstate New York is considered “gorgeous” – most certainly blessings from the Master Artist! Thank you for your kind comment!
